QCB Events' Director reported that working for the firm delivers a broad range of benefits, including travel and networking. She discussed the team's latest business trip and some of its many positive outcomes.
CHARLOTTE, NC , October 27, 2017 (Newswire.com) - “Nonstop improvement is part of the QCB Events culture,” said Brooke, the firm's Director of Operations. “We develop professionally through one-on-one coaching, hands-on learning, and regional trainings. We attend national conferences as well, the most recent of which took place in Dallas, Texas.”
Brooke reported that she took eight of her team members with her to the event. They were able to network, see the big picture of what's possible in their industry, and truly realize how much bigger their field is beyond the QCB Events office. They also learned new skills that they've already started teaching their colleagues and implementing in the workplace.
The Owner of QCB Events Explores the Business Benefits of Team Travel
"Nonstop improvement is part of the QCB Events culture," said Brooke, the firm's Director of Operations. "We develop professionally through one-on-one coaching, hands-on learning, and regional trainings. We attend national conferences as well, the most recent of which took place in Dallas, Texas."
“As I've mentioned, learning and networking were two of the biggest benefits of our trip,” Brooke continued. “The event offered seminars and speeches on business-related topics such as consumer behavior and budgeting. We picked up on some of the latest industry trends, enhanced our knowledge, and sharpened our skills. In the process, we met fellow professionals and influential leaders who come from all corners of the country. We are already in the process of following up with them, with the intentions of developing lasting and mutually beneficial relationships.”
According to Brooke, there were still more benefits of the excursion. In addition to connecting with others, they focused on their bonds with one another. Spending time together away from the office allowed them to focus more on each other’s likes, dislikes, and abilities. By exploring the local sites and attractions, as well as learning about the regional history and culture, they had a lot of fun. These experiences lead to boosted morale, collaboration, and performance in the QCB Events headquarters.
“I must say that travel also challenges us to assess our self-care abilities,” Brooke concluded. “It's one thing to eat well, rest fully, and exercise regularly when we're in the midst of our familiar surroundings and routines. Doing all this in an exciting new location is something else. It's a matter of tracking down the hotel gym, ordering strategically from restaurant menus, and getting to our rooms – and our beds – early. Accomplishing all this outside the norm of our daily lives gives us renewed energy and focus, ultimately preventing burnout and propelling our success.”
